WHAT YOU`LL FOCUS ON

The Quality Assurance Implementation Specialist (QAIS) is responsible for ensuring the highest level of quality is achieved for every customer’s software implementation and configuration project. This role is responsible for developing and maintaining the quality assurance testing processes and procedures which are needed for customer project validation. Initially, many of these processes will include manual testing approaches.

Over time, you will lead the effort to bring testing automation into our portfolio of Professional Services solutions. Proper QA testing is key to maximizing the customer’s satisfaction with Castor by providing the best possible customer journey. A key component of success will be your ability to roll up your sleeves and effectively prioritize quality activities while keeping the overall customer experience at top of mind.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

• Develop and maintain the library test cases based on the requirements across multiple client projects (study builds, custom integrations, data migrations, etc.)
• Apply risk-based testing to projects and create summary reports for delivery back to implementation teams.
• Analyze test execution reports, assist in recreating issues and record defects for tracking purposes.
• Create implementation test processes and contribute to their continued improvement.
• Maintain and communicate a solid understanding of software testing best practices, methodologies and terminology.
• Conduct research on new and emerging technologies in the software test area.
• Assess and implement a new automation tool and create an innovative automated test system.
  

WHAT YOU`LL BRING

• 3+ years of working experience in software quality assurance testing
• Experience in a hybrid automated/manual test environment
• Technical expertise including fluency in one or more popular programming languages, preferably Python
• Knowledge of database concepts and application programming interface (API) with a basic understanding of JavaScript
• Knowledge of test/defect management tools (i.e., Jira)
