The Role and Team

Join our dynamic Product Design team as a Senior Product Designer - Design System, where your passion for creating exceptional user experiences will thrive. Our team is comprised of product designers, researchers and accessibility experts, all dedicated to tackling complex problems within our enterprise customer experience applications. You will get a chance to work on a variety of projects, including Generative-AI, Reporting, Admin Configuration, Digital and more.


We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Product Designer with a focus on design systems and UX projects. In this role, you will lead the development and maintenance of our design system, ensuring consistency and quality across all products. You will also work on various UX projects, contributing to the overall user experience and product strategy.

Please note that this position is remote, reporting directly to the Vice President of Product Design.


Responsibilities

  • Lead the creation, implementation, and maintenance of our current design system to ensure it is scalable, consistent, and adaptable to various products and platforms.
  • Collaborate and work closely with cross-functional teams to create design components.
  • Collaborate with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to define and implement innovative solutions for product direction, visuals, and experience.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Digital Product Design, Graphic, Visual Arts or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in product design, with a focus on design systems and UX.
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG) and best practices for inclusive design, ensuring designs are accessible to diverse user groups.
  • Portfolio showcasing design systems, UX design, and successful product design projects.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, and InVision.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Solid understanding of front-end development, with the ability to collaborate effectively with developers.
  • Excellent communication skills to articulate design decisions, collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, and advocate for design solutions to stakeholders.
  • Proven experience in creating and maintaining design systems for large-scale products.

Medallia is committed to equal pay and transparency. The annual base salary range for this position is $127,000 - $216,000. Please note that the salary range information provided is a general guideline and combines all of the distinct labor markets within the US. It is uncommon for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on a variety of factors. Medallia considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, candidate’s work location, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, external market data, as well as, market and business considerations when making compensation decisions.
