The Role and Team

We are looking for motivated Software Quality engineers to join our global team. This role will be part of our Reporting Actions team that deliver products and features to platform users to take predictive and prescriptive actions based on data. This isn't just an opportunity to join an amazing team, but also to have an impactful role in how we evolve our products.


As a Senior Quality Automation Engineer at Medallia, you will be responsible for evaluating the Test case automation needs, build automation strategy and create Automation scripts. You will also manage automation pipelines and test data and support ongoing feature upgrades to our software products.


Your role is pivotal in ensuring that our applications meet the highest quality standards and are verified continuously through automation pipelines.


Responsibilities

  • Write automated E2E web UI and API tests. Occasionally integration tests.
  • Implement CI jobs to execute automated tests, provide and synchronize relevant information.
  • Write test data automated scripts.
  • Collaborate on test framework development and related tooling.
  • Define automation strategy with development teams.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years of professional experience in Quality Processes of software products
  • Demonstrated understanding of software testing methodologies and quality assurance processes
  • Demonstrated understanding of Continuous Integration (CI/CD pipelines) and software development lifecycle
  • Demonstrated experience in developing automated tests for API and UI applications using industry leading automation tools
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Java, Javascript or equivalent languages
  • Demonstrated experience working on Jenkins pipelines

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field or at least +2 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with Playwright for Automation and Postman collections for API testing
  • Exposure to manual functional testing
  • Experience working in Agile project environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and collaboration abilities
  • Detail-oriented and committed to delivering high-quality results
