The Medallia Education team’s mission is to lead creative and strategic innovation in outcome-driven product enablement for customer, employee, and partner communities.
The Role:
As an Instructional Design Sr. Analyst, you will create impactful Medallia product and best practice education content for customer, implementation, and servicing audiences. As part of the Design and Development team, you will work with subject matter experts to identify needs and recommend solutions. You will leverage the ADDIE instructional design framework to design and author effective self-paced learning solutions that are learner-centered, organized, accurate, practical, and engaging.
The Instructional Design Sr. Analyst is a self-starter with excellent time management and planning skills; demonstrates excellent technical writing and communication skills; and is motivated, flexible, and excited to flex their ID skills.
Responsibilities
- Conduct education needs analysis and ongoing instructional design guidance on content creation projects.
- Translate technical product feature specs and best practice enablement content into clear, concise, engaging, and relatable written education scripts for all learner audiences.
- Incorporate appropriate learning activities and exercises to enable learners in achieving learning objectives.
- Design, write, and manage learning projects to deliver high-quality education content (e.g., online courses, job aid handouts, instructional videos, product tours, scenarios, and product simulations) with support from subject matter experts and e-learning developers.
- Maintain education content by staying up-to-date with the latest design standards, product features, and field practices.
- Partner with key stakeholders across Product, Engineering, Technical Support, Sales, and Professional Services as an education advocate.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
3+ years of relevant work experience in instructional design, corporate training, or product enablement
Demonstrated ability to translate technical product features and workflows into engaging learning materials
Demonstrated experience working across complex organizations and with multiple business partners
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with instructional design principles and practices, including adult learning theories, interactive training, and learning design
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Excellent technical writing skillsLightning-fast learner with a natural curiosity about how products and services work to deliver customer value
Experience working with or training on SaaS and/or enterprise software
Ability to work collaboratively and manage training development projects
Detail-oriented and consistently deliver high-quality work on time
Create and foster relationships with product managers, departmental teammates, and other stakeholders because you know it leads to stronger content
Medallia is committed to equal pay and transparency. The annual base salary range for this position is $68,000-$101,000. Please note that the salary range information provided is a general guideline and combines all of the distinct labor markets within the US. It is uncommon for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on a variety of factors.
