The Role and Team
You will be a member of a small team creating implementation, developer, and administration documentation for partners, client administrators, and internal services who implement and manage Medallia products. This is a dynamic environment where you can test your skills across a range of product functionality.
Please note that this position is based in Buenos Aires, AR or Mexico City, MX, reporting to the Product Documentation Manager based in the U.S.
Responsibilities
- Develop documentation independently and collaboratively for software updates and new features.
- Work with product managers and owners to align documentation with customer needs.
- Apply structured content strategies for efficient information reuse across various platforms and audiences.
- Gather information autonomously from multiple stakeholders with minimal support from team leads.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- 3 years of experience in writing software documentation for various audiences including administrators, end users, developers, and IT operations, with a focus on complex systems.
- Demonstrated experience with end-to-end documentation lifecycle including identifying, researching, reviewing and documenting project requirements and tasks based on analysis of project needs.
- Demonstrated proficiency in English grammar and writing, ensuring content clarity and logical organization.
- Demonstrated experience in gathering and synthesizing information from various stakeholders with minimal supervision.
Preferred Qualifications
- 5 years of experience in writing software documentation.
- Technical background for effective interaction with engineers, product managers, and technical program managers, along with proven ability to deliver high-quality technical documentation.
- Experience using JIRA for tracking work items.
- Proficiency in media creation tools such as Google Draw, Snagit, Camtasia, and Visio.
- Programming experience, especially in JavaScript or scripting, is beneficial.
- Experience in structured authoring, particularly DITA/XML.
- Self-starter comfortable in a dynamic environment.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage expectations and maintain focus.
- Curiosity and a constant drive to question, dig deeper, and learn.
Medallia is committed to equal pay and transparency. The annual base salary range for this position is $52,000 - $65,000 USD. Please note that the salary range information provided is a general guideline and combines all of the distinct labor markets within the US. It is uncommon for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on a variety of factors.
