About the Role

As a Quality Engineer I, you’ll be working with emerging technologies in a role that merges the responsibilities of quality assurance and test automation. You will work with a software development team on various projects from start to finish, to create test plans that can be transformed into automated tests. As we scale, confidence, efficiency and consistency in quality testing will be imperative, and you will play a huge part in its success.

We are looking for an engineer to join our Reporting Configuration team. This is a global full stack team that includes Frontend, Backend and Quality engineers.

At Medallia, we gather data from various sources, such as surveys and social media. This team is responsible for delivering products that support the complex task of configuring reports and presenting data in a meaningful way.

Responsibilities

  • Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
  • Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases, with guidance from senior Quality Engineers
  • Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities at the level of a project
  • Develop and execute manual and automation scripts and integrate them in CI/CD pipelines
  • Automate and document tests from existing test cases/scenarios and new feature specifications, with guidance from senior Quality Engineers
  • Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies
  • Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs
  • Be meticulous about documentation and maintaining a robust log of all test cases and test results
  • Perform thorough regression testing
  • Participate on a Scrum team, including all Agile and Scrum related ceremonies

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • 1+ years working in software testing development or relevant experience while pursuing a degree
  • Demonstrated fundamentals of software QA methodologies, tools and processes
  • Demonstrated experience in writing and running clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases
  • Demonstrated proficiency with bug tracking and test management toolsets to support development processes
  • Demonstrated experience with automated testing tools (i.e.Playwright, Selenium, Cypress or similar)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with version control software (e.g. Git), JavaScript, Typescript and/or Playwright
