About The Role

We are looking for a Senior Finance Analyst with a keen eye for data analysis. You will be responsible for extracting valuable insights from large data sets and communicating them to our commercial teams.

What you will be working on:

  • Work alongside the CFO to drive the organisation to achieve Duco’s growth ambitions
  • Support management decision-making through the development and reporting of, Key Performance Indicators
  • Develop and support the execution of Duco’s strategy, being a driver of high performance & growth.
  • Track Duco’s performance particularly in the context of SaaS ratios and industry benchmarks. Developing strategies, as a result, to help Duco achieve optimal performance and use of resources.
  • Develop real-time performance analysis across the organisation
  • Own forecasting and budgeting, including timetable management, presenting to management, preparing supporting board papers and disseminating targets across the business
  • Perform ad-hoc financial and non-financial analysis to evaluate the quantitative and qualitative aspects of investment opportunities or business cases
  • Financial Business Partnering - support the departmental heads with any financial queries
  • Support with budget management, insight generation and business plan delivery
  • Partner with the Financial Control team to produce high-quality Management Accounts including variance analysis and monthly board reporting
  • Identify risks and opportunities
  • Support M&A, strategic opportunities and the development of business cases, as opportunities arise.

Ideally, you will have:

  • 5+ Years FP&A experience
  • Highly proficient and capable accountant, with a commercial mindset, must be 10 years post qualified in ACA/CIMA/ACCA or equivalent
  • Possess a sense of curiosity and seek to understand and identify business opportunities by digging into the numbers and processes
  • The ability to challenge the status quo in a constructive manner
  • Ability to prioritise multiple work streams and work at pace, whilst always paying close attention to the detail
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and influencing skills, as you’ll be negotiating and challenging a range of people, internally and externally
  • Resilience and perseverance - life in a growth company is challenging, but rewarding and fun!
  • Adaptive, positive and solution-focussed approach
  • Experience in presenting complex analysis to non-financial stakeholders
  • Experience in preparing Board reports and presenting to senior management
  • Effective stakeholder management, demonstrating the ability to win as a team but equally able to challenge
  • Top-class financial modelling skills (reporting packs and business plans) including advanced Excel and knowledge of financial reporting systems.

Nice to haves:

  • Experience and understanding of SaaS metrics
  • Some experience in banks, funds or insurance would be very useful
  • M&A experience
  • Adept at investment appraisal
  • PE exposure
  • An understanding of allocations and how to apply such models
