About The Role

We’re looking for an ambitious IT Support Specialist to support our teams in New York and Boston for a 6 month fixed-term paternity leave replacement contract, beginning September 2024. In this role, you will be part of an international team reporting directly to the IT Manager. You will be involved in solving users' issues and requests related to the local software like Ubuntu, macOS, Android, iOS, software in the cloud like Google Workspace, Office 365 and hardware. You will be the first point of contact in the local offices. The role is based in New York but you will have an opportunity to travel to our Boston office every 1-2 months.

We will be closing the applications for this role on the 4th August 2024 and conducting 1st stage interviews between 6th August 2024 and 9th August 2024 and final stage interviews between 9th August 2024 and 16th August 2024.

What you will be working on

  • Investigating and triage user issues and concerns
  • Providing equipment for end users and managing asset tracking
  • Technically on and off-boarding all U.S. employees
  • Troubleshooting end-user issues
  • Troubleshooting hardware and software problems on users' laptops
  • Maintaining the U.S. office’s IT equipment
  • Training and educating users on desktop and cloud applications
  • Helping in maintaining the offices network
  • Working in a multi-system (MacOS, Windows, Linux, iOS, Android) and multi-cloud environment (eg. Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, AWS, Atlassian, Slack)

Ideally, you will have

  • 2-4+ years experience in an IT Helpdesk role.
  • Knowledge of operating and troubleshooting MacOS, Linux and iOS systems.
  • Basic experience in MacOS, Linux and iOS management tools.
  • Basic knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems.
  • Networking knowledge and experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Google Workspace tools.
  • “Can-do” attitude.
  • Intellectual curiosity and willingness to learn new things.
  • Very good communication skills.
