ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a Technology Legal Counsel who will provide specialised technology legal advice and guidance, particularly focussed on payment processors, SaaS agreements, software provider agreements, and procurement service providers. You will work proactively with our business teams to review these types of agreements, all within a fast paced company undergoing an ambitious global expansion. You will be required to collaborate and communicate effectively with team members within the legal department and across the Fever business, and are expected to proactively find creative solutions and process improvements, with a focus on effectiveness for all stakeholders involved. You will be expected to work in the following areas:

  • Drafting / reviewing key commercial technology contracts, terms and conditions, and similar legal documents including more specifically:
    • Agreements with payment processors and financial institutions/intermediaries and other fintech providers
    • SaaS solution agreements with focus on digital marketing services, advertising inventory and media services, in collaboration with our media teams
    • SaaS/technology solution agreements for providers of procurement, outsourcing, security, internal financial solutions, health and safety, HR functions, and internal operations services
  • Closely work with our data protection teams to ensure privacy compliance relevant to these areas
  • Using knowledge of vendor management, risk assessment and due diligence processes to deliver continuous improvements in speed, simplicity and seamless integration with company-wide processes
  • Advising on engagement of, and coordinating and prioritising, work of external legal advisors where appropriate
  • Preparing / reviewing internal templates, guides, and similar knowledge management documents related to know-how created by your work
  • Prioritising your and others’ work and participating in the upskilling, support and growth of other team members

ABOUT YOU

In order to be successful in this role, you will:

  • Be a barred/practising lawyer, with 3-5+ years of PQE in the legal field (preferably including both law firm and in-house experience)
  • Speak fluent English, with a command of legal English (fluency in other languages is a strong plus)
  • Have an excellent academic record and/or experience in top-notch companies or top-tier law firms
  • Self-motivated, ambitious, process-oriented team player
  • Have, or look to develop, a commercial mindset, bringing a critical eye to proactively spot improvement opportunities and a penchant for creative problem-solving
  • Possess excellent technical skills with a strong attention to detail
  • Be an effective communicator (must develop the ability to communicate matters clearly and simply to non-legal stakeholders ) who brings emotional intelligence to work

This role is located in Fever’s HQ in Madrid, and although we can be flexible with the timing, you will be expected to move there if you are currently living elsewhere.
