Role Overview:

We are seeking a visionary VP of Data to lead and execute our company-wide data strategy. In this pivotal role, you will shape the data landscape across all departments, ensuring alignment with our business goals. The ideal candidate possesses deep expertise in data architecture, data modeling, and has a proven track record in building and mentoring high-performing teams.

As a senior leader, you will exhibit strong technical acumen and hands-on expertise while fostering a culture that values collaboration and innovation. Your leadership will be instrumental in integrating data into all company processes and leading data-driven transformations that influence business strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Data Leadership: Develop and implement a comprehensive data strategy that aligns with Fireblocks' business objectives, driving growth and maintaining a competitive edge.
  • Team Building & Management: Lead, mentor, and expand a high-performing data team, promoting professional development and a collaborative environment focused on continuous improvement.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with stakeholders across all departments to ensure data initiatives meet business needs and achieve measurable results.
  • Data Integration: Embed data-driven decision-making into all levels of the organization, supporting leadership with actionable insights and analytics.
  • Roadmap Development: Create and execute detailed roadmaps for data management, analytics, and strategic initiatives that leverage data for business impact.
  • Data Architecture and Governance: Oversee the design, development, and optimization of data architecture, governance, and infrastructure to ensure scalability, reliability, and performance of data systems.
  • Performance Measurement: Establish clear KPIs and benchmarks to assess the success of data strategies, identifying areas for enhancement and driving continuous improvement.
  • Innovation & Industry Insight: Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure Fireblocks remains at the forefront of data management and innovation.

What You'll Bring

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in Data Engineering, Business Intelligence, Data analytics, or Data Science, with a proven ability to drive data-centric projects.
  • At least 5 years of experience successfully leading and mentoring teams of data engineers, data scientists, data analytics, or BI professionals, with demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • A strong track record of managing complex data projects from conception through execution, ensuring they are delivered on time and with measurable impact while working closely with BizOps teams to align efforts with broader business goals.
  • Proven experience with CRM systems and leveraging data to drive strategic decisions across business operations
  • Expertise in data architecture, data modeling, and data governance, with a focus on transforming companies into data-driven organizations.
  • Strategic thinking and the ability to influence stakeholders across different levels of the organization.
  • Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to driving data initiatives and business outcomes.
