The product offers instant access to data from some 500 platforms in the areas of Online Marketing, E-commerce, and CRM, and the capability to create a unified model of all this data without asking users to learn SQL or write scripts. With the recent expansion of measurement capabilities, Funnel is on the pathway to defining–and leading– the marketing intelligence space. As we continue to expand our footprint across the globe, we are seeking a dedicated and proactive Account Manager to join our team and manage a portfolio of customers across the Americas region.

What you will do
As an Account Manager at Funnel, you will be at the forefront of driving revenue growth and ensuring the renewal of a diverse portfolio of customers. Collaborating closely with Customer Success and other key team members, you will cultivate strong relationships, enhancing our customers' investment in Funnel. You will identify upsell and expansion opportunities, grow Monthly Recurring Revenue, and consistently search for new ways to add value to our clients.

Some of the day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Build and cultivate strong, productive relationships with key customer stakeholders in your book of business

  • Identify new opportunities within your accounts and highlight features and ways of working that increase customer value

  • Develop and maintain a solid understanding of the Funnel platform to best serve customer needs

  • Run effective renewal cycles, highlighting the economic value and return on investment to retain and grow revenue

  • Effectively negotiate contract renewals and expansions, seeking the best possible outcome for the customer’s longevity with Funnel

  • Help customers understand their contracts and successfully close leads qualified by Customer Success

  • Collaborate with account team colleagues to ensure strong customer health (e.g. Customer Success Manager, Solutions Consultant, Partner Account Manager)

  • Create and maintain account plans based on research and knowledge gathered

  • Record, document and track sales activity and customer data in CRM and other systems

  • Use sales methodologies, frameworks, and toolkits to drive repeatable, scalable sales motions

You are an experienced professional with results to back up your efforts. You are a highly organized individual with proven systems of working in account management. You are a self-starter and proactive in terms of identifying opportunities as well as risks down the line. You thrive in fast-paced environments, are comfortable with things changing quickly, and enjoy experimenting with new processes and approaches to maximize outcomes. You value feedback–both in giving and receiving–and recognize candor and authenticity are critical to team success.

Finally, amidst the many things you could be doing, you know how to decide what to spend your time on to meet goals and maximize output.

Experience and skills

  • 6+ years of experience in an Account Executive and/or Account Management role, preferably in the MarTech industry

  • Proven track record of consistently meeting revenue quotas

  • Strong knowledge of SaaS business models and cycles

  • Proven success with procurement and contract negotiation

  • Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, visual)

  • Strong prioritization and time management skills in a fast-paced environment. Preferably in a Series A-C funded start-up/scale-up

This role is located in our Boston Office at 175 Federal Street. We value in-person collaboration in the office, and as such we work the majority of the time from our offices.
