Job Overview: We are seeking a Regional Vice President, Federal Sales who will focus on expanding our footprint in the Federal Government sector by hunting and closing sales of Neo4j products and services to new agencies and projects in the Federal market segment. As a quota-carrying leader of our sales team, you will be a part of the expansion of our strategic Federal Government business unit, supporting the growth of the North American Region Sales organization.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a territory plan based on target agencies and applicable use cases, resulting in a pipeline of opportunities in the target market, that will help you achieve quarterly and annual sales metrics.
- Develop expert knowledge of Neo4j solutions and applicability in target market.
- Develop and present to customers a strong understanding of the benefits and advantages of graph technology versus alternative database approaches.
- Provide guidance and direction to your Field Marketing resources so they can target programs to your target accounts.
- Provide guidance and direction to Federal Strategic Alliances and Channel Director so they can target partners and programs for your target accounts.
- Maintain Neo4j Salesforce.com CRM system with accurate information about your pipeline, in accordance with Neo4j forecasting guidelines.
- Lead and build a team of account executives.
- A minimum of 8+ years in a Managing/Director/VP role in Federal SaaS sales experience
- A minimum of 5+ years of managing Strategic and Federal Account Executives/Managers
- Proven track record of success for driving new business and expanding existing customers
- Proven track record of building, hiring, and scaling large enterprise teams
- Experience operating in a high-growth business environment
- Excellent customer facing skills
- Ability to navigate complex contract structures and large seven-figure deals
- A strong history of quota attainment and excellent performance on a high-reaching team
- Ability to successfully drive revenue and growth through the development of long-term strategic relationships with existing customers
- Bonus Areas:
- Familiarity/proficiency with cloud service providers and channel partnerships.
- Familiarity with DBaaS and database markets
Ideally, you should have:
- Coursework in database, SQL, computer programming, Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or similar, is desirable.
- Experience selling information management tools to customers in the Federal Civilian market.
- 7+ years of consistent success meeting or exceeding sales objectives selling technical solutions and software products into the Federal Civilian market.
- Current experience selling into the Federal Civilian market, preferably including DOJ, DHS, Treasury, with current knowledge of target organizations and programs
- Demonstrable experience executing enterprise complex sales strategies and tactics.
- Experience in a selling environment that involves government contractors, system integrators, distributors, consultants, and other 3rd parties.
- Experience with the commercial open-source business model, selling subscriptions for on-premise deployments and/or hybrid on-prem/cloud deployments.
- Previous experience and thrive in a smaller, high-growth software company, where you have leveraged dedicated SDR resources, Field Marketing resources, and Pre-Sales Engineering helping build the business.
- Strong conviction and approach to how and where graph solutions fit into the Federal Civilian marketplace.
- Be a hard-working, responsible, self-starter, with the ability to work remotely in a home-office environment, as well as travel to client sites to run meetings.
- Excellent references, ideally from previous Sales managers.
- Demonstrate attention to detail, ensuring accurate entry and management of lead data in our SalesForce.com CRM system.
- Be proficient with standard corporate productivity tools (e.g., Google Docs, MS-Office, Salesforce.com, Web-conferencing).
- Be a team player with the highest level of integrity.
- Security Clearance strongly preferred.
The annual on target earnings range for this position based in the United States is listed below. This range is an estimate, and the actual on target earnings may vary based on Neo4j’s compensation practices, job related skills, depth of experience, relevant certifications and trainings, in addition to geographic location. Based on the factors above, Neo4j utilizes the full width of the range.
In addition to the range below, US employees are eligible for a stock option grant and certain roles are eligible for an annual bonus. Employees in this position are also eligible to participate in the Company’s standard benefit programs, which currently include the following: medical, dental, and vision benefits, 401(k), paid time off, and certain leaves of absence.
