With more than 560 teammates illuminating the way, representing 34 nationalities living in 35 different countries of which 175 in Belgium alone, we are a fun, collaborative and committed team that works hard to achieve amazing results. Ready to take off and join this rocketship in revolutionizing the hospitality sector? 🚀

What you will do:

As UX Design Manager you will lead one of our UX Design Teams. Specifically you will lead part of the UX team responsible for crafting simple and elegant experiences for our enterprise customers. You will coach your team in their day-to-day work and support them in their personal growth. Working together with your peers in the Design & Research team, Product Management and Engineering, you’ll be actively contributing to our long-term product vision.

Where you will have impact:

  • work across our current product suite for large(r) and data-savvy hotels to support and coach your UX Design colleagues in the craft of interaction design through constructive feedback and by pairing on more complex projects.
  • take ownership over the professional growth of the UX designers in your team.
  • own the performance of your team by being accountable for timelines and by following up on key metrics together with the Product Management team and the Research team, initiating new initiatives where relevant.
  • contribute to our long-term product vision from a product design perspective, guiding us towards a more integrated and seamless future-proof experience.
  • drive efficiency and effectiveness of our overall product design team within the Design & Research Team and as part of the product trios by initiating process improvements in collaboration with your UX/Research/Product Leadership peers and through your team.
  • leverage insights and best practices from your past management experience to elevate the UX Design team’s processes and practice.
  • contribute to our design system from an interaction point of view through UX guidelines.

About our team:

The UX Design team is the largest team within Design & Research, consisting of eight highly talented individuals (and growing) with diverse and complementary interests and skill sets. Over the past few years, the team has experienced significant growth, creating a dynamic and exciting environment where there is ample opportunity for personal and professional development.

Each designer is embedded in a specific product team as part of a product trio, where we prioritise user-centric design and contribute to the product vision. But, even though we have 2 UX Design teams, we still organise ourselves as one UX Design practice to ensure consistency across all of our solutions, collaborate on design challenges, and provide valuable feedback to one another when a second opinion is needed. We believe that our team's strength lies in our ability to work together and offer a critical eye to each other’s designs, rather than working in isolation.

As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work with highly talented and passionate UX designers, while contributing to the success of our products and the satisfaction of our users.

What's in it for you:

  • A flexible working environment where you can work from home or, if you live nearby, at one of our seven offices around the world
  • Flexible time off: we believe in providing our employees with the flexibility and autonomy to manage their work-life balance effectively
  • A motivation to deliver your best work as we have built a high-bar and very talented team of individuals that are friendly, creative, open-minded, and passionate about what they do
  • Workshops and frameworks that help employees realise their full career potential
  • The opportunity to shape the products that more than 65,000 customers rely on worldwide
  • The chance to grow and evolve the design culture at a fast-growing and global organisation
  • A compensation that values your work and which we will proactively keep competitive
  • A mobility approach that fits your personal situation, with a mobility budget or company car
  • Extensive health insurance packages for you and your dependents prioritising our employees' holistic well-being and healthcare needs
  • Private pension funding through group insurance
  • A referral bonus scheme when you bring new talent to our #bestteamever!

Who you are:

  • have 7+ years of relevant design experience, ideally in B2B/B2C SaaS, enterprise software or within a digital product agency.
  • can showcase concrete examples of your (or your team’s) end-to-end design process on a feature, product or project and the resulting impact on the user and business.
  • make decisions at a high pace based on the right balance of judgement, user research and usage data.
  • have a proven track record in leading a UX/product design team.
  • are able to navigate design feedback and critical conversations with grace and confidence to inspire a design team to be their best selves.
  • are able to learn from and collaborate with multiple departments. Knowing when to push and when to let go.
  • are comfortable championing user-centred design throughout all layers of an organisation leveraging demonstrated impact, promoting best practices and exerting your influence with internal stakeholders.
  • have an affinity with insights and data visualisation, even if you have no prior experience in this field.
  • are familiar with design systems and component libraries and are able to use and contribute to them.
  • are fluent in both written and spoken English.
