What you will do

For our small but mighty Legal team we are looking for an all-round paralegal. In this role you will be instrumental in supporting various legal tasks, ensuring compliance with our corporate housekeeping a.o., assisting in contract management, light document and contract review as well as taking responsibility over a broad range of administrative tasks.

Where you will have impact

  • Provide operational support to the legal team in various legal and compliance matters, including corporate housekeeping tasks such as filing and obtaining signatures.
  • Oversee the management of our tech stack consisting of an intake and matter management tool , contract lifecycle management and automation system, managing the archives and ensuring clear and concise record-keeping.
  • Maintain the Legal Knowledge Center and Legal Team Center, ensuring they are updated with the latest information.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for improving efficiency and processes.
  • Draft and review NDAs and similar contracts.
  • Support compliance efforts by monitoring regulatory developments and maintaining accurate records, with a specific focus on AML/KYC/GDPR.
  • Organise and maintain legal documentation, including contract databases and corporate records.
  • Conduct research to support case files.
  • Track and manage legal expenses.
  • Follow up on insurance portfolios and annual renewals.
  • Administer share options, including preparing and sending agreements, tracking signatures, and preparing board minutes.

About the team
The Legal team operates from the Ghent office but services the business worldwide. This means you get to interact with Lighthouse team members all over the world. Who you are

  • A professional degree in law practice is preferred, but relevant experience will also be considered.
  • Experience as a paralegal in a corporate legal environment is a plus, with bonus points for experience in a SaaS company.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, in Dutch and English.
  • A proactive attitude, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent multitasking abilities.
  • Eagerness to learn and grow in the role.
