About the role:
The Intern – Pipeline and Development Strategy will play an essential role in supporting the development and strategic positioning of early-stage products.
This internship is focused on building robust product profiles, aiding Business Development (BD) in preparing project proposals for pharma clients, and managing project milestones in early product development through the feasibility phase.
In particular, you will:
- Product Profile Development
- Assist in developing comprehensive product profiles that align with Owkin’s strategic and scientific goals.
- Conduct research on market trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory pathways to inform product positioning.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure profiles accurately reflect feasibility, regulatory requirements, and commercial potential.
- Business Development Support
- Work closely with the BD team to create customized project proposals for pharmaceutical clients, focusing on product positioning, value proposition, and early-phase development strategy.
- Research client-specific needs and support proposal content to align with client expectations.
- Assist with BD presentations and client interactions as needed, providing insights and data to strengthen proposals.
- Project Management
- Support project management for early product development, tracking timelines, deliverables, and milestones up to the end of the feasibility phase.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams (in particular Data Scientist & Partnership), ensuring all project aspects are aligned and progressing according to plan.
- Prepare regular status updates, identify potential challenges, and propose solutions to facilitate project continuity.
Position is based in our Paris office.
About you
Required qualifications / experience:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Life Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, Business, or a related field.
- Interest in early-stage product development, project management, or business development within the biotech/pharma industry.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex information into clear, actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across various departments.
Preferred qualifications/bonus:
- Experience with AI and machine learning in the context of medical diagnostics.
- Knowledge of digital pathology and its integration into clinical workflows.
