About us
Owkin is building the first universal AI Operating System called K to lay the foundation for Biological Artificial Superintelligence (BASI). This OS integrates a suite of AI agents that decode complex biology, accelerate research, and dramatically increase productivity. Acting as copilots, Owkin K agents will automate drug discovery and diagnostics and power next-gen pharma companies.
Owkin’s OS will be powered by the world’s largest federated multimodal patient data network, a robotized lab, leading AGI technologies, and cutting-edge multimodal foundation models and LLMs.
About the role:
You will provide effective support to the legal team in charge of Corporate and Commercial Legal matters.
In particular, you will:
- Draft, review and negotiate, under the supervision of a legal counsel, a broad range of commercial agreements with a primary focus on services and pharma agreements
- Liaise with internal teams (Sales, Procurement, Marketing, Finance) on contracts and specific issues (contract interpretation and/or explanation, definition and implementation of processes, etc.)
- Support the legal team on corporate matters (Governance, Group-level agreements, Corporate structuring)
- Support the legal team in fundraising and M&A projects from inception to post-closing with the Corporate Development team and other internal stakeholders: due diligence, drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts, signing and closing, post-closing follow up, etc.
- Support in our compliance activities
- Regularly contribute to and refine Owkin’s templates, policies and processes
- Draft, review and negotiate NDAs in full autonomy
- Maintain and update templates and clauses library / Support legal intelligence initiatives
Position is based in our Paris office (75009).
About you
Required qualifications / experience:
- Native or fluent french;
- Fluent English (Oxford: C1 or equivalent);
- Autonomy, rigor, intellectual curiosity, team spirit, initiative;
- Writing skills;
- Academic background in French law (university or business school with double degree in business and law);
- Previous internship in a law firm or in the legal team of a tech or healthcare company.
Preferred qualifications/bonus:
- Masters in Commercial Law, Business Law and/or Health Law
- Double degree / LLM, training in common law or comparative law appreciated;
- Bar admission
