Description

ScyllaDB is growing and we are looking to hire Professional Services Engineers to join our (US / EMEA) team.

The dedicated Professional Services consultant is assigned to the end user for the duration of this agreement and will work with the end user to define the specific daily activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Engage with clients to gather and analyze their technical and business requirements, ensuring a deep understanding of their needs.
  • Design, configure, and customize ScyllaDB solutions to align with client specifications, providing a seamless integration into their existing infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, support, product development, and project management, to ensure a cohesive and successful project implementation.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, providing timely and effective solutions to ensure client satisfaction.
  • Act as a technical advisor, offering insights and recommendations to clients to optimize their utilization of our products and services.
  • Contribute to the development of best practices, documentation, and knowledge-sharing initiatives within the professional services team.
  • Provide technical training to customers

Requirements

  • 3+ years in a in a similar role
  • Proven experience supporting enterprise customers in a customer-facing hands-on technical role.
  • Understand high availability concepts.
  • Experience with Linux environments
  • Network knowledge
  • Lifelong learner and capable of multitasking during high-pressure situations.
  • Naturally curious and excited to learn new technologies.
  • Experience with Distributed Systems (Database / Storage)
  • Experience with Docker (Linux)
  • Experience with Cloud providers (AWS/GCP)
  • Experience with operating Cassandra/Scylla/Datastax
  • Strong English communications skills - written and verbal
  • Autonomous and self-motivated

Nice to have:

  • Experience with NoSQL DBs (Datastax, Cassandra, DynamoDB, Redis, MongoDB, etc)
  • Public Cloud Certifications (AWS, GCP, etc)
  • Experience with git repos
  • Knowledge in K8S
  • Experience with Azure
  • Bachelor's degree in technology fields (Computer Science, Engineering)
