Description

We are seeking a talented, high-performing, and high-energy Account Executive to drive revenue growth, acquire new customers, and work with existing clients.

In this role, you will work hands-on to formulate and execute effective sales strategies.

Collaborating closely with the Sales Development Representative and Solutions Architect teams, you will prepare detailed account strategies and plans, ensuring their practical implementation and success.

This position demands a proactive and practical approach to sales, emphasizing hands-on involvement in every step of the sales process, both for new customer acquisition and maintaining strong relationships with existing customers.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Consistently identify, prospect, qualify, and develop your sales pipeline through outreach strategies and by collaborating with your SDR team.
  • Build and nurture effective relationships as you guide prospects through a software acquisition cycle, collaborating with your solution architect, from discovery through Proof-of-Concept and then contract negotiation and close, working with multiple stakeholders.
  • Create proposals that address customer needs that inspire them to become ScyllaDB Enterprise and ScyllaDB Cloud (SAAS) customers.
  • Maintain an accurate and up-to-date forecast and funnel as you exceed your monthly, quarterly, and annual quota.
  • Hunter mentality and knows how to open new doors via phone calls and emails etc
  • Collaborate with Marketing to conduct seminars, trade shows, and other marketing-related events.
  • Communicate and collaborate with your sales leader, and Customer Success teams to ensure adoption, retention, and expansion of ScyllaDB in your growing portfolio of highly visible clients

Requirements

  • 7+ years experience selling B2B enterprise and SAAS technology with someone who is a hungry up and comer and wants to grow with a fast-growing startup.
  • Ideally has sold software to IT / Engineering with Infrastructure knowledge and ideally sold Open Source and database software.
  • Has IT/Enterprise Architecture/Business rolodex in the patch they currently reside.
  • Goal-oriented, with a track record of overachievement (President’s Club, Rep of the Quarter/Year, etc.).
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills as well as attention to detail.
  • Is a team player and understands collaboration
  • Is not afraid to knock down doors and knows pipeline generation is paramount to over achievement and success
