The team:

The Business Development team at Slerp is a small, fast-paced, high-performing group responsible for launching, operating and growing the most important strategic partnerships. This team is central to Slerp’s continued growth. We work closely with senior leadership, operations, product and finance teams both internally and externally to shape strategy for Slerp and our partners. We lead all aspects of launching, operating, and growing partnerships that have a significant impact on the overall direction of Slerp and our partners.

The role:

The Head of Business Development role will be responsible for selling, activating and growing the largest enterprise partners across the suite of Slerp products. This role will begin as an individual contributor but will be responsible for building and managing a team as Slerp’s enterprise partner count grows. We expect this role to be a combination in terms of time spent in-office and at partner sites/offices.

  • Lead strategic and operational efforts to scale our enterprise partnerships
  • Develop long-term business plans alongside our partners for their omnichannel customer strategies
  • Work cross-functionally with our Merchant Operations, Product, Engineering, Marketing, Analytics, and Sales teams to drive efficiencies via the creation and optimization of scalable internal processes

  • You have 8+ years of experience in business development, strategy & operations, partnership management, account management, management consulting, business strategy, and/or investment banking
  • You have strong familiarity or interest in restaurants / food and last-mile delivery
  • You have a bachelor’s degree; MBA or other advanced degree a plus
  • You have proven success working in cross-functional teams to build creative solutions
  • You are a problem solver at your core, with a strong bias for action
  • You are passionate about using analytics to build insights around problems and opportunities. Proficient with SQL a plus
  • You like rolling up your sleeves just as much as you like the big picture/thinking big
  • You’re comfortable with a fast pace and several moving parts
  • You know how to take very broad challenges or opportunities and turn them into actionable projects with clear milestones and goals, with minimal guidance
