Privacy Law Intern - France

Spendesk is looking for an intern in data protection to join our Legal Department for a minimum of 6 months, based in Paris (Saint-Lazare).
As a member of this team, you will be involved in supporting our Legal Counsels in their daily tasks. As part of the Legal team, you’ll gain exposure across the business and partner with teams across London, Paris, Berlin, Milan and Madrid.

Key responsibilities

  • Drafting and negotiating all contracts related to personal data protection.
  • Managing and supporting the legal team in maintaining the necessary documentation for personal data processing within the Spendesk group, and keeping it up-to-date.
  • Managing and supporting projects with a "Privacy by Design" approach in collaboration with the legal team.
  • Conducting legal research and writing summaries.
  • Managing and addressing legal questions from employees within the Spendesk group.
  • Managing and maintaining the legal information center (intranet) regarding personal data (rules, procedures, FAQs).

What we're looking for

  • Master's level or law school student specialising in digital law/personal data protection.
  • Interest in tech, fintech, and technologies.
  • Ability to work autonomously.
  • Legal writing, document management, and research skills.
  • Fluency in French and English is essential (fluency in German, Italian or Spanish would be a plus)
  • Ideally, experience in banking law or payment services.
