Job Mission 🚀🚀

The Senior Category Manager for the Smart Charging Category at Tibber is responsible for shaping and executing the commercial strategy within this dynamic and rapidly evolving category. As a leader within our organization, you will work closely with a dedicated team with a deep understanding of the commercial aspects and responsibilities in the fields of smart charging and automotive at Tibber. Some of your key responsibilities (but not limited to) will include:

Overall Category Strategy:

Develop and own the overarching strategy and performance targets for the Smart Charging category.

Define and deliver the strategy to partner with third-party companies to build Tibber’s Smart Charging functionality into their products and services.

E-commerce Strategy and Execution for Smart Charging:

Define and implement the e-commerce strategy for the smart charging category, focusing on revenue and gross profit targets:

  • Pricing
  • Margin
  • Payment

    Shipping StrategyDevelop marketing and distribution targets specific to this category.

    Curate and manage the product offering within the category.

    Partnership Strategy:

    For Chargers:

    • Develop a comprehensive strategy for charger products within the Tibber Store.
    • Negotiate Pricing, margin, payment, and marketing contribution strategies.
    • Secure stable integrations and VPP strategies.
    • Ensure adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

    For Automotive:

    • Secure stable integration and VPP business models.
    • Design an in-car strategy.
    • Create brand partnership strategies to scale subscriptions.
    • Explore new business models within the automotive space.

    Energy and VPP Strategy. Formulate and execute strategies related to energy and VPP in collaboration with partners.

    Cross-Company Collaboration. Work collaboratively across different departments and teams to align efforts and achieve company and category targets.

    Team Leadership. Lead and motivate the category team to perform at their best, fostering a high-performance culture.

    ⚡⚡️Ideal Profile

    Industry Experience. Experience in the charging or automotive industry, including a strong understanding of market dynamics, trends, and key players. Either from working at an OEM or companies working with the industry.

    E-commerce Expertise. Demonstrated expertise in e-commerce strategies, including revenue generation, marketing, and product management.

    Partnership Development. Proven experience in building and managing strategic partnerships.

    Energy and VPP. Knowledge of energy markets, Virtual Power Plants, and how they relate to the automotive and charging industry.

    Cross-Functional Collaboration. Strong collaborative and communication skills to work effectively with diverse teams across the organization.

    Leadership. A track record of successful leadership and team management.

    Innovative Thinking. The ability to think innovatively and develop creative solutions in a rapidly evolving industry.

    Commercial Mindset. A keen understanding of commercial principles, market analysis, and the ability to identify revenue-generating opportunities.

    Data-Driven Approach. Proficiency in utilizing data and analytics to make informed decisions, measure performance, and optimize strategies.

    Relevant experience. Ideally, you have 10+ years of post-degree experience in leadership, sales, business development and/or marketing. Experience with account management, relationship management, and solutions selling.

    Commercially minded. Strong commercial experience and business acumen.

    Stakeholder management and influencer. Demonstrated ability to earn and use influence at all levels in an organization, including experience engaging and presenting to senior executives.

    Collaboration. Ability to articulate complex concepts to cross-functional audiences, being capable of cooperation with product and engineering teams.

    Communication. Outstanding verbal, and written communication and presentation skills, our company language is English so must be fluent or native.
