Job Mission 🚀🚀

Tibber is seeking an experienced, creative & solution-driven Category Manager (m/f/d) to oversee our strategic Smart Heating & Home category. The responsibility spans product knowledge, pricing, special promotions, advertising, product and operations support. This position requires a seasoned professional with extensive experience in category management, and business development.

This role will report directly to the SVP and will be responsible for driving online sales, enhancing the customer experience, and ensuring the overall success and growth of our online store. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of digital marketing, e-commerce, and a proven track record of successfully growing online sales channels. This is a key team member, accelerating growth within the Smart Heating and Smart Home space.

Some of your responsibilities (but not limited to) will include:

Strategy & Operations: Align the category strategy with the overall business goals and objectives. Explore new business models within the Smart Heating and Smart Home space. Develop a comprehensive strategy for heating and home products in e-Commerce.

Segment Knowledge: Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and threats. Develop and implement strategies to enhance the category's market positioning. Differentiate the category from competitors through unique value propositions.Implement processes for continuous improvement in the category. Stay informed of industry trends and best practices. Identify and mitigate risks associated with the category, such as market changes or supplier issues. Develop contingency plans to address unforeseen challenges.

P&L: Develop and manage the budget for the category. Monitor financial performance, including sales, margins, and profitability. Drive sales growth and revenue targets for the category. Implement initiatives to increase market share and customer loyalty.

Product Catalogue: Manage the online product catalogue, including product listings, descriptions, and collaborate with logistics and warehouse teams to ensure timely and accurate deliveries. Formulate merchandising strategies to maximise product visibility and sales.

External stakeholder management: You will manage and secure relationships with vendors, to negotiate API and commercial agreements that benefit both parties and help customers make smart decisions about their energy consumption.

Cross-Company Collaboration: Work collaboratively across different departments and teams such as marketing, sales, and finance to align efforts and achieve company and category targets. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure campaign alignment with product launches, promotions, and sales objectives.

Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of partners managers and business development managers, Foster a collaborative and results-oriented team culture.

Customer Satisfaction: Understand customer needs and preferences within the category. Implement strategies to enhance the customer experience and satisfaction. Ensure that the satisfaction of our customers is the focus of our actions in all process steps. Monitor and improve customer satisfaction through feedback and reviews to assure alignment of product trends, customer’s product requests and product availability. Direct the marketing department to create and implement relevant marketing programs.

Data-Driven Approach: Utilise data analytics to monitor category performance and identify areas for improvement. Make data-driven decisions to optimise product assortment and pricing. Use customer insights to enhance the overall customer journey and experience within Smart Heating & Home.

⚡⚡️Ideal Profile

Industry Experience: Minimum 5 years work experience in category management. Track record in leadership, sales, business development and/or marketing. Experience with account management, relationship management, and solutions selling. Knowledge of consumer electronics, smart home, and smart heating is preferred.

E-commerce Expertise: Demonstrated expertise in e-commerce strategies, including revenue generation, marketing, and product management.

Leadership: Outstanding leadership qualities in managing, and developing teams. Proven experience in managing cross-functional colleagues. Experience in mentorship, coaching, and creating professional development opportunities for team members.

Problem Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Optimise resource utilisation to enhance efficiency and productivity. Ability to articulate complex concepts to cross-functional audiences, being capable of cooperation with product and engineering teams.

Commercial Mindset: Strong commercial experience and business acumen. A keen understanding of commercial principles, market analysis, and the ability to identify revenue-generating opportunities. Proven experience in building and managing strategic partnerships.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Demonstrated ability to earn and use influence at all levels in an organisation, including experience engaging and presenting to senior executives. Strong collaborative and communication skills to work effectively with diverse teams across the organisation.

Leadership: A track record of successful leadership and team management.

Innovative Thinking: The ability to think innovatively and develop creative solutions in a rapidly evolving industry.

Data-Driven Approach: Proficiency in utilising data and analytics to make informed decisions, measure performance, and optimise strategies. Utilise analytics tools to track and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) related to online sales, website traffic, and customer behaviour.

Communication: Outstanding verbal, and written communication and presentation skills, our company language is English so must be fluent or native.
