Product Analyst

We're looking for a Product Analyst, could you be the next adventurer to join our team?

We usually respond within a week

We are Tibber, the energy company that wants you to use less energy. Crazy, right? We are by definition an energy company, but we’re more techy than most. How and why you might ask? Well, a third of our employees are working on developing products and solutions that can help you use fossil-free energy more smartly, or even better: less energy. Our main goal is to empower people to reduce the amount of energy being used all around the globe. Good for our customers, their wallets, and the planet.

Our growth rate has been quite stunning, and still, we’re just getting started. With hundreds of thousands of smart devices connected to the Tibber platform (like electric vehicles and smart thermostats), we have one of the most unique portfolios for trading energy and offering flexible services to the grid.

The Data area within Tibber, is the main contributor to steering business value through data at Tibber. We, as Data Analysts, are experts in generating and communicating insights based on data, shaping the company's strategic direction. It's our job to perform specialised analyses and collaborate closely with our stakeholders, educating them in analytical methods and mindset.

Job Mission🚀🚀

Join the Data Analytics Team consisting of four kind, humble and data loving colleagues. All four of them have their own domain expertise area, but you will work together and help each out on a frequent basis. Authenticity is considered a superpower, your voice will be heard, and your development needs will be taken very seriously. Creating a culture where everybody can be their full self at work is therefore very important to your Data Analytics Manager.

For this specific role you will be embedded in the Smart Charging Product Area and work closely with its Product Area Lead and occasionally our CPO. This area is a crucial part of our business as it allows our users to get their EV charged every day, at the lowest possible cost. More recently it's the area which is making sure we are building the biggest Virtual Power Plant in Europe.

Some of your responsibilities (but not limited to) will include:

Contribute to decision-making. You'll be able to support the product area's decision-making with recommendations and insights. Both on a strategic level (e.g.) and a tactical level (e.g. what's the impact of the latest product rollout?). Your contribution and proactiveness will be instrumental to this area. Sounds exciting, right?

Product's data analyst swiss-army knife. Since you will work closely with our Product Area Lead and CPO, you will be asked to shift gears fast and take on projects which deliver the highest business value. This could range from building dbt models and performing analyses in ThoughtSpot on them to setting KPIs for a new area during another day.

Champion self-service way of working. You are expected to build a self-service foundation and help your stakeholders gain insights themselves. It's a journey we have already started across the company and you will help your areas to get there. Data should not be an afterthought.

KPIs. You will help define, implement, and track your Product Area KPIs.

⚡⚡️Ideal Profile

Ideally, we would like to see the following:

Data Analyst experience. 2+ years prior experience as a Data/Product Analyst. Anything from deep-dives using SQL to running A/B tests to finding funnel drop-offs is hugely beneficial.

Product experience. 2+ years prior experience working in product teams, preferably at a scale-up company.

Created impact. Experience in doing analyses that drove big decision outcomes. Cares about making an impact, takes ownership and is very self-sufficient.

Technical know-how. Proficient in actively using SQL (e.g. to create models in dbt). Prior experience working with tools similar to Thoughtspot, Looker, or Tableau.

Collaborative. A role model and seamless communicator who successfully manages to build and maintain relationships with different stakeholders.

Teaching ability. Excited about and has experience in educating others throughout Tibber on how to perform analytics work.

A team player. Yes, every ad says this but we truly believe our team is more important than an individual and would expect you to actively contribute to this. Egos are left at the door.

Some additional bonus skills (but in no way essential):

- Scale-up/start-up experience

- Familiarity with other parts of our tech stack (Databricks, dbt, ThoughtSpot)

- Understanding of EVs/wallboxes and energy markets

    🦹🏽‍♀️👨‍🎤Get Ready For

Innovation. A way to change the landscape of one of the most important industries on the planet.

Growth. A possibility to learn a lot and push the barriers of what you think is possible, with the opportunity to grow personally and professionally.

Autonomy. An autonomous and humble culture in a scale-up adventure.

Empowerment. Your voice matters, we are a place to work where laughter and support amongst diverse and inclusive colleagues are guaranteed.

Flexible benefits. Whether this is towards health, working hours and/or location, wellness, equipment, or other allowances important to you, we will do our best to accommodate your needs.

    💆🏻‍♀️💆🏽‍♂️The Tibber Mindset

Being on a mission to change an industry as we do fundamentally also means being prepared for the unexpected. Tibber is a scale-up in the true sense of the word which means we are on a journey of constant change. We do what others say can’t be done, try and fail together but never lose sight of our users.

We work passionately with sustainability and a circular approach, both with our products and in the entire ecosystem that is affected by everything we do.

We're very proud of being a mission-driven startup with thousands and thousands of new users every month. Starting with two passionate founders in 2016, we're now 300+ people working for Tibber in our offices in Stockholm, Førde, Berlin, Amsterdam, Oslo, and Helsinki, and with that number growing each week, we’re still just getting started. Through 2024 we will expand to new markets, and we are thrilled to be backed by investors like Balderton Capital, Eight Roads Ventures, Founders Fund, Summa, and Schibsted.

At Tibber, we are committed to hiring, developing, and retaining exceptional people regardless of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, age, marital status, disability, neurodiversity, or gender identity. We strongly encourage people from underrepresented groups to apply.
